Confession of Sin   Introduction Most merciful God,
we confess that we have sinned against you in thought, word, and deed, by what we have done, and by what we have left undone. We have not loved you with our whole heart; we have not loved our neighbors as ourselves. We are truly sorry and we humbly repent. For the sake of your Son Jesus Christ, have mercy on us and forgive us; that we may delight in your will, and walk in your ways, to the glory of your Name. Amen.

The Absolution
Almighty God have mercy on us, forgive us all our sins through our Lord Jesus Christ, strengthen us in all goodness, and by the power of the Holy Spirit keep us in eternal life. Amen

Psalm 97

⁽¹⁾ The LORD reigns; Let the earth rejoice; Let the multitude of isles be glad! ⁽²⁾ Clouds and darkness surround Him; Righteousness and justice are the foundation of His throne. ⁽³⁾ A fire goes before Him, And burns up His enemies round about. ⁽⁴⁾ His lightnings light the world; The earth sees and trembles.

Micah 7

Acts 3

⁽¹⁾ Now Peter and John went up together to the temple at the hour of prayer, the ninth hour. ⁽²⁾ And a certain man lame from his mother's womb was carried, whom they laid daily at the gate of the temple which is called Beautiful, to ask alms from those who entered the temple; ⁽³⁾ who, seeing Peter and John about to go into the temple, asked for alms. ⁽⁴⁾ And fixing his eyes on him, with John, Peter said, 'Look at us.'

⁽⁵⁾ So he gave them his attention, expecting to receive something from them. ⁽⁶⁾ Then Peter said, 'Silver and gold I do not have, but what I do have I give you: In the name of Jesus Christ of Nazareth, rise up and walk.' ⁽⁷⁾ And he took him by the right hand and lifted him up, and immediately his feet and ankle bones received strength. ⁽⁸⁾ So he, leaping up, stood and walked and entered the temple with them -- walking, leaping, and praising God.

⁽⁹⁾ And all the people saw him walking and praising God. ⁽¹⁰⁾ Then they knew that it was he who sat begging alms at the Beautiful Gate of the temple; and they were filled with wonder and amazement at what had happened to him.

John 15

The Apostles' Creed
I believe in God, the Father almighty, creator of heaven and earth.

The Collect of the Week:  Wednesday in Easter Week
O God, whose blessed Son made himself known to his disciples in the breaking of bread: Open the eyes of our faith, that we may behold him in all his redeeming work; who lives and reigns with you, in the unity of the Holy Spirit, one God, now and forever. Amen.

The Collect of the Day:  A Collect for Grace (Wed) Lord God, almighty and everlasting Father, you have brought us in safety to this new day: Preserve us with your mighty power, that we may not fall into sin, nor be overcome by adversity; and in all we do, direct us to the fulfilling of your purpose; through Jesus Christ our Lord. Amen.

A Prayer for Mission: Lord Jesus Christ, you stretched out your arms of love on the hard wood of the cross that everyone might come within the reach of your saving embrace: So clothe us in your Spirit that we, reaching forth our hands in love, may bring those who do not know you to the knowledge and love of you; for the honor of your Name. The General Thanksgiving
