Confession of Sin   Introduction Most merciful God,
we confess that we have sinned against you in thought, word, and deed, by what we have done, and by what we have left undone. We have not loved you with our whole heart; we have not loved our neighbors as ourselves. We are truly sorry and we humbly repent. For the sake of your Son Jesus Christ, have mercy on us and forgive us; that we may delight in your will, and walk in your ways, to the glory of your Name. Amen.

The Absolution
Almighty God have mercy on us, forgive us all our sins through our Lord Jesus Christ, strengthen us in all goodness, and by the power of the Holy Spirit keep us in eternal life. Amen

Psalm 119

⁽¹⁾ Blessed are the undefiled in the way, Who walk in the law of the LORD! ⁽²⁾ Blessed are those who keep His testimonies, Who seek Him with the whole heart! ⁽³⁾ They also do no iniquity; They walk in His ways. ⁽⁴⁾ You have commanded us To keep Your precepts diligently.

⁽⁵⁾ Oh, that my ways were directed To keep Your statutes! ⁽⁶⁾ Then I would not be ashamed, When I look into all Your commandments. ⁽⁷⁾ I will praise You with uprightness of heart, When I learn Your righteous judgments. ⁽⁸⁾ I will keep Your statutes; Oh, do not forsake me utterly!

Isaiah 41

Ephesians 2

Mark 1

⁽²⁹⁾ Now as soon as they had come out of the synagogue, they entered the house of Simon and Andrew, with James and John. ⁽³⁰⁾ But Simon's wife's mother lay sick with a fever, and they told Him about her at once. ⁽³¹⁾ So He came and took her by the hand and lifted her up, and immediately the fever left her. And she served them. ⁽³²⁾ At evening, when the sun had set, they brought to Him all who were sick and those who were demon-possessed.

The Apostles' Creed
I believe in God, the Father almighty, creator of heaven and earth.

The Collect of the Week:  First Sunday after the Epiphany: The Baptism of our Lord
Father in heaven, who at the baptism of Jesus in the River Jordan proclaimed him your beloved Son and anointed him with the Holy Spirit: Grant that all who are baptized into his Name may keep the covenant they have made, and boldly confess him as Lord and Savior; who with you and the Holy Spirit lives and reigns, one God, in glory everlasting. Amen.

The Collect of the Day:  A Collect for Grace (Wed) Lord God, almighty and everlasting Father, you have brought us in safety to this new day: Preserve us with your mighty power, that we may not fall into sin, nor be overcome by adversity; and in all we do, direct us to the fulfilling of your purpose; through Jesus Christ our Lord. A Prayer for Mission: Lord Jesus Christ, you stretched out your arms of love on the hard wood of the cross that everyone might come within the reach of your saving embrace: So clothe us in your Spirit that we, reaching forth our hands in love, may bring those who do not know you to the knowledge and love of you; for the honor of your Name. The General Thanksgiving

And, we pray, give us such an awareness of your mercies, that with truly thankful hearts we may show forth your praise, not only with our lips, but in our lives, by giving up ourselves to your service, and by walking before you in holiness and righteousness all our days; through Jesus Christ our Lord, to whom, with you and the Holy Spirit, be honor and glory throughout all ages. A Prayer of St. Chrysostom
Almighty God, you have given us grace at this time with one accord to make our common supplication to you; and you have promised through your well-beloved Son that when two or three are gathered together in his Name you will be in the midst of them: Fulfill now, O Lord, our desires and petitions as may be best for us; granting us in this world knowledge of your truth, and in the age to come life everlasting.
