Collect for: Trinity Sunday Almighty and everlasting God, you have given to us your servants grace, by the confession of a true faith, to acknowledge the glory of the eternal Trinity, and in the power of your divine Majesty to worship the Unity: Keep us steadfast in this faith and worship, and bring us at last to see you in your one and eternal glory, O Father; who with the Son and the Holy Spirit live and reign, one God, for ever and ever. Amen. Old Testament Isaiah 6:1-5 1 In the year that King Uzziah died, I saw the Lord sitting on a throne, high and lifted up, and the train of His robe filled the temple. 2 Above it stood seraphim; each one had six wings: with two he covered his face, with two he covered his feet, and with two he flew. 3 And one cried to another and said: 'Holy, holy, holy is the LORD of hosts; The whole earth is full of His glory!' 4 And the posts of the door were shaken by the voice of him who cried out, and the house was filled with smoke. 5 So I said: 'Woe is me, for I am undone! Psalm Psalm 29 2 Give unto the LORD the glory due to His name; Worship the LORD in the beauty of holiness. 3 The voice of the LORD is over the waters; The God of glory thunders; The LORD is over many waters. 4 The voice of the LORD is powerful; The voice of the LORD is full of majesty. Give unto the LORD the glory due His name. 5 The voice of the LORD breaks the cedars, Yes, the LORD splinters the cedars of Lebanon. 6 He makes them also skip like a calf, Lebanon and Sirion like a young wild ox. 7 The voice of the LORD divides the flames of fire. Give unto the LORD the glory due His name. 8 The voice of the LORD shakes the wilderness; The LORD shakes the Wilderness of Kadesh. *At the end of the Psalms this is sung or said Glory to the Father, and to the Son, and to the Holy Spirit: * as it was in the beginning, is now, and will be for ever. New Testament Romans 8:12-17 12 Therefore, brethren, we are debtors -- not to the flesh, to live according to the flesh. 13 For if you live according to the flesh you will die; but if by the Spirit you put to death the deeds of the body, you will live. 14 For as many as are led by the Spirit of God, these are sons of God. 15 For you did not receive the spirit of bondage again to fear, but you received the Spirit of adoption by whom we cry out, 'Abba, Father.' 16 The Spirit Himself bears witness with our spirit that we are children of God, 17 and if children, then heirs -- heirs of God and joint heirs with Christ, if indeed we suffer with Him, that we may also be glorified together. Or And with your spirit Deacon: May the Lord be on our minds, on our lips, and on our hearts as we hear His Holy Gospel. The Holy Gospel of our Lord Jesus Christ according to Saint John. People: Glory to You, Lord Christ. Deacon: We are reading from John's Gospel chapter 3, beginning at verse 7. 7 Do not marvel that I said to you, 'You must be born again.' 8 The wind blows where it wishes, and you hear the sound of it, but cannot tell where it comes from and where it goes. So is everyone who is born of the Spirit.' 9 Nicodemus answered and said to Him, 'How can these things be?' 10 Jesus answered and said to him, 'Are you the teacher of Israel, and do not know these things? 11 Most assuredly, I say to you, We speak what We know and testify what We have seen, and you do not receive Our witness. 12 If I have told you earthly things and you do not believe, how will you believe if I tell you heavenly things? 13 No one has ascended to heaven but He who came down from heaven, that is, the Son of Man who is in heaven. 14 And as Moses lifted up the serpent in the wilderness, even so must the Son of Man be lifted up, 15 that whoever believes in Him should not perish but have eternal life. 16 For God so loved the world that He gave His only begotten Son, that whoever believes in Him should not perish but have everlasting life. After the Gospel reading, the deacon elevates the book and says: Deacon: The Gospel of the Lord. People: Praise to You, Lord Christ. Prayers of the People Prayers of the People for: Trinity Sunday Brothers and sisters, the Holy Spirit has brought about our adoption as children of God and co-heirs with Christ. Let us, therefore, bring our needs and the needs of the whole world before our Father in heaven. That the Church will carry out its Christ's given mission and make disciples of all nations. Lord in Your mercy,            Hear our prayer. That the Church will be one as the Trinity is One. Lord in Your mercy,            Hear our prayer. That nations which are at enmity with one another will reconcile and work toward lasting peace. Lord in Your mercy,            Hear our prayer. That those who live in fear and despair will know the peace and promises of God. Lord in Your mercy,            Hear our prayer. That those who have lost their health and freedom through addiction will find newness of life through Christ, our Deliverer. Lord in Your mercy,            Hear our prayer. That the hearts of the parents will be turned toward the children and the hearts of the children toward their parents. Lord in Your mercy,            Hear our prayer. That we, as God's servants on earth, will remember the poor and the neglected, the homeless and the destitute. Lord in Your mercy,            Hear our prayer. Heavenly Father, hear our prayer and give us the grace to live in unity with all Your people. We ask this through Christ our Lord, Who lives and reigns with You and the Holy Spirit, One God forever and ever.AMEN
