Saint Mary the Virgin
O God, you have taken to yourself the blessed Virgin Mary, mother of your incarnate Son: Grant that we, who have been redeemed by his blood, may share with her the glory of your eternal kingdom; through Jesus Christ our Lord, who lives and reigns with you, in the unity of the Holy Spirit, one God, now and for ever. Amen.
Old Testament 10
I will greatly rejoice in the LORD, My soul shall be joyful in my God; For He has clothed me with the garments of salvation, He has covered me with the robe of righteousness, As a bridegroom decks himself with ornaments, And as a bride adorns herself with her jewels. 11
For as the earth brings forth its bud, As the garden causes the things that are sown in it to spring forth, So the Lord GOD will cause righteousness and praise to spring forth before all the nations. Officiant: The Word of the Lord. The People:
Thanks be to God.
I will bless the LORD at all times; His praise shall continually be in my mouth. 2
My soul shall make its boast in the LORD; The humble shall hear of it and be glad. 3
Oh, magnify the LORD with me, And let us exalt His name together. 4
I sought the LORD, and He heard me, And delivered me from all my fears. 5
They looked to Him and were radiant, And their faces were not ashamed. 6
This poor man cried out, and the LORD heard him, And saved him out of all his troubles. 7
The angel of the LORD encamps all around those who fear Him, And delivers them. 8
Oh, taste and see that the LORD is good; Blessed is the man who trusts in Him! 9
Oh, fear the LORD, you His saints! There is no want to those who fear Him. 10
The young lions lack and suffer hunger; But those who seek the LORD shall not lack any good thing. 11
Come, you children, listen to me; I will teach you the fear of the LORD. 12
Who is the man who desires life, And loves many days, that he may see good? 13
Keep your tongue from evil, And your lips from speaking deceit. 14
Depart from evil and do good; Seek peace and pursue it. 15
The eyes of the LORD are on the righteous, And His ears are open to their cry. 16
The face of the LORD is against those who do evil, To cut off the remembrance of them from the earth. 17
The righteous cry out, and the LORD hears, And delivers them out of all their troubles. 18
The LORD is near to those who have a broken heart, And saves such as have a contrite spirit. 19
Many are the afflictions of the righteous, But the LORD delivers him out of them all. 20
He guards all his bones; Not one of them is broken. 21
Evil shall slay the wicked, And those who hate the righteous shall be condemned. 22
The LORD redeems the soul of His servants, And none of those who trust in Him shall be condemned. *At the end of the Psalms this is sung or said
Glory to the Father, and to the Son, and to the Holy Spirit: * as it was in the beginning, is now, and will be for ever. Amen.
New Testament 4
But when the fullness of the time had come, God sent forth His Son, born of a woman, born under the law, 5
to redeem those who were under the law, that we might receive the adoption as sons. 6
And because you are sons, God has sent forth the Spirit of His Son into your hearts, crying out, 'Abba, Father!' 7
Therefore you are no longer a slave but a son, and if a son, then an heir of God through Christ. Officiant: The Word of the Lord. The People:
Thanks be to God.

Deacon: May the Lord be on our minds, on our lips, and on our hearts as we hear His Holy Gospel. The Holy Gospel of our Lord Jesus Christ according to Saint Luke
People: Glory to You, Lord Christ.
Deacon: We are reading from Luke's Gospel chapter 1, beginning at verse 46
And Mary said: 'My soul magnifies the Lord, 47
And my spirit has rejoiced in God my Savior. 48
For He has regarded the lowly state of His maidservant; For behold, henceforth all generations will call me blessed. 49
For He who is mighty has done great things for me, And holy is His name. 50
And His mercy is on those who fear Him From generation to generation. 51
He has shown strength with His arm; He has scattered the proud in the imagination of their hearts. 52
He has put down the mighty from their thrones, And exalted the lowly. 53
He has filled the hungry with good things, And the rich He has sent away empty. 54
He has helped His servant Israel, In remembrance of His mercy, 55
As He spoke to our fathers, To Abraham and to his seed forever.'
After the Gospel reading, the deacon can elevate the book and says:
