Almighty and everlasting God, whose will it is to restore all things in your well beloved Son, the King of kings and Lord of lords: Mercifully grant that the peoples of the earth, divided and enslaved by sin, may be freed and brought together under his most gracious rule; who lives and reigns with you and the Holy Spirit, one God, now and for ever. Amen.

Gospel
John 18:33-37
Deacon:The Lord be with you.
People: And also with you. Or And with your spirit
Deacon: May the Lord be on our minds, on our lips, and on our hearts as we hear His Holy Gospel. The Holy Gospel of our Lord Jesus Christ according to Saint John.
People: Glory to You, Lord Christ.
Deacon: We are reading from John's Gospel chapter 18, beginning at verse 33.
33 Then Pilate entered the Praetorium again, called Jesus, and said to Him, 'Are You the King of the Jews?' 34 Jesus answered him, 'Are you speaking for yourself about this, or did others tell you this concerning Me?' 35 Pilate answered, 'Am I a Jew? Your own nation and the chief priests have delivered You to me. What have You done?' 36 Jesus answered, 'My kingdom is not of this world. If My kingdom were of this world, My servants would fight, so that I should not be delivered to the Jews; but now My kingdom is not from here.' 37 Pilate therefore said to Him, 'Are You a king then?' Jesus answered, 'You say rightly that I am a king. For this cause I was born, and for this cause I have come into the world, that I should bear witness to the truth. Everyone who is of the truth hears My voice.'
After the Gospel reading, the deacon elevates the book and says:
Deacon: The Gospel of the Lord.
People: Praise to You, Lord Christ.
Prayers of the People
Brothers and sisters, since God has loved us and washed us from our sins, let us bring our needs and those of the whole world to Him with confidence.
That the Church throughout the world will boldly proclaim Jesus as King of kings and Lord of lords.
Lord in Your mercy, Hear our prayer.
That the whole Church will be a reflection of God's heavenly Kingdom on earth.
Lord in Your mercy, Hear our prayer.
That God, the Shepherd of all, will gather into unity those separated by Christian religious differences.
Lord in Your mercy, Hear our prayer.
That all nations will honor Christ as King, the Lord and giver of Life, and abolish the practices of abortion and euthanasia.
Lord in Your mercy, Hear our prayer.
That estranged husbands and wives, brothers and sisters, parents and children will humble themselves and be reconciled one to another just as God, Who was in Christ Jesus, reconciled the world unto Himself.
Lord in Your mercy, Hear our prayer.
That the next generation will raise up men and women committed to the service of the Lord and His Church.
Lord in Your mercy, Hear our prayer.
That we, as servants of the living God, will help meet the needs of those who are hurting in body, soul or spirit.
Lord in Your mercy, Hear our prayer.
God of all creation, You raised up Jesus and put all things under His feet.
Hear our prayer and give us the grace to be ready for the Day when He returns in glory.
We ask this through Christ our Lord.
AMEN
