On All Saint’s Sunday, ArchBishop Craig Bates, was honored for his 30 years at Intercessor. Fr Brett presented him with an icon of the 21 Martyrs of Libya, an icon he had admired, that honored the 21 heroes of the faith executed in Libya in February 15, 2015.

Other gifts included a choir presentation. The Major of Malverne spoke from the pulpit of her admiration of Bishop Bates.  I gift of a box of personal notes from many of the people who wrote of the impact he and Cathy had on their lives was also present.

The People prayed “Today we celebrate Patriarch Craig Bates as he marks 30 years at our church. May the Lord bless him as he continues to follow the call to shepherd His people.
